STEC successfully signed EPC contract for CO2 capture of glass kiln flue gas

Date:2022-03-07

On June 4, 2021, witnessed by Peng Shou, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Chief Engineer of China National Building Materials Group Co., Ltd. and Chairman of Triumph Group Co., Ltd; Shanghai Triumph Energy Conservation Engineering Co., Ltd.(in short “STEC”) and China National Building Materials (HeFei) New Energy Resources Co., Ltd successfully signed the world's first CO2 capture project of glass kiln flue gas at the 15th (2021) International Photovoltaic Power Generation and Smart Energy Conference&Exhibition.

The project is a set of energy-saving and environmental protection projects that STEC uses the waste gas produced by the 650t/d photovoltaic cell packaging material production line of China National Building Materials (HeFei) New Energy Resources Co., Ltd. to collect and recover 50,000 tons of CO2 annually. After the project is completed, it will become the world's first green emission reduction demonstration project using glass furnace flue gas to capture and recover CO2. On this basis, STEC provided China National Building Materials (HeFei) New Energy Resources Co., Ltd. with a comprehensive carbon neutral solution, by adding power distribution energy-saving devices to reduce energy consumption and power consumption by 10% so as to achieve the goal of reducing carbon emissions. Through the above series of measures, both parties will jointly make positive contributions to the achievement of China’s carbon peak in 2030 and carbon neutralization in 2060.

Triumph Group responded positively to General Secretary Xi Jinping’s call for "building a community with shared future for mankind", practicing the social responsibility of large enterprises, and unswervingly taking the path of green low-carbon development. As a engineering service company specialized in energy conservation and environmental protection under Triumph Group, STEC has always been committed to customers such as the building materials industry, power industry, steel and other high energy consumption enterprise to provide low-carbon emission reduction quality service. After years of development, STEC has gradually expanded from the past specific field of waste heat power generation to CO2 capture and recycling technology, power distribution energy saving technology, industrial smart technology, biomass power generation and other related technologies. In the future, it will provide services for more enterprise users and make joint efforts for global environmental protection provide services to more enterprise users and make efforts for the global environmental protection.
