STEC Signs EPC Contract for Malawi Self-Owned Power Station Project

Date:2024-08-01
Recently, STEC successfully signed an EPC project for 12MW self-owned power station in Malawi, Africa.

The project will gather multiple cutting-edge technologies, with the core highlight being the adoption of modular design and islanding operation technology. Through modular design, the construction period can be significantly shortened, construction efficiency can be improved, and reliability can be further enhanced. Each module has undergone strict quality control and testing to ensure its reliability and stability during power station operation. Moreover, modular design also facilitates later maintenance and upgrades. The islanding operation technology ensures that the self-owned power station can independently maintain the stable operation of the internal power grid after disconnecting from the external power grid. This technology plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety of power supply for the plant.

As for Malawi, the construction of self-owned power station will greatly improve the local power supply situation, as well as the stable and reliable energy security for the production and operation of cement plants, and promote infrastructure construction and industrialization process. This is another example of STEC’s deepening friendship and cooperation with China and Africa.

It is the fifth EPC project undertaken by STEC in Africa, not only deeply demonstrates the leading position in the African energy-saving power generation market, but also realizes another major leap in the company's strategy of intensive cultivation in the region. Once again, STEC brings advanced energy-saving technologies and green energy solutions to new African countries, as well as clean, efficient and sustainable energy utilization methods to the local area, injecting strong new momentum into Africa's economic and social development, and it is also a shining example of the company's active response to the national "the Belt and Road" initiative, and practicing the concept of global development cooperation with practical actions.
