HOLCIM Group Delegation’s Visit to STEC for Inspection and Exchange

On January 10, 2025, Mr. Oliver Garnier, Head of Procurement Innovation & Technology at the world-famous building materials giant Holcim Group, led a team to visit Shanghai Triumph Energy Conservation Engineering Co., Ltd. for investigation and exchange. This two-day visit included multiple important activities such as business negotiations and technical investigations. On the side of Holcim Group, Mr. Luc Fermin, Head of CCUS CAPEX, Mr. Song ZHENG, Head of Sourcing & Procurement Holcim China, and other relevant personnel also came along. Mrs. Yanfei GAO, the Chairman of STEC, Mr. Yizhou ZENG, Executive Deputy Manager, Mr. Lieyong JI, Chief Engineer of STEC, and relevant department members attended the meeting.

Mrs. Yanfei GAO first extended a sincere welcome to the Holcim Group delegation who had come from afar. Subsequently, she introduced in detail the core business segments and technological highlights of STEC and its holding group. She emphasized that especially in the process of actively implementing the innovation driven and sustainable development strategies, STEC has achieved a series of fruitful technological research results and successful implementation projects in Dual Carbon Goals. Relying on the strong R&D, procurement, design, and project implementation teams and the close cooperation relationships established with many relevant scientific research institutes, STEC has accumulated valuable experience in domestic and overseas engineering projects. In a friendly and enthusiastic atmosphere, potential cooperation models and projects have been discussed, then a preliminary consensus reached.
Mr. Oliver Garnier of Holcim Group was impressed by STEC for its profound technological heritage and excellent engineering management level, especially its leading edge in Dual Carbon Goals. He said that Holcim Group also adheres to the green sustainable development strategy, and there will be lots of highly potential cooperation opportunities with STEC in fields such as carbon capture and waste heat power generation, etc. He earnestly hopes that both sides will join hands and carry out closer and more in-depth cooperation in the Dual Carbon Goals. At the same time, Mr. Oliver Garnier enthusiastically extended an invitation to STEC, looking forward to a return visit to Holcim Group.
This visit by Holcim Group is of far-reaching significance. STEC and Holcim Group have enhanced their mutual understanding and trust. Based on the in-depth technical exchange on the current carbon capture project of Holcim, it has also laid a solid foundation for the broad cooperation prospects of the two sides in the future. It is believed that with the joint efforts of both sides, they will surely contribute positive and powerful forces to promoting the early realization of the global carbon neutral goal.
