On April 28, China National Building Materials Group (CNBM) held the2025 Labor Model and Advanced Collective Commendation & Exemplary Deeds Sharing Meetingin Beijing. Zhou Yuxian, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Group, attended and delivered a speech. Liu Lei, Member of the Group’s Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, announced the commendation notices and decisions. Zhang Jie, Vice Chairman of the China Machinery, Metallurgy and Building Materials Trade Union, attended the meeting.

To honor exemplary contributions, promote the spirit of labor models, craftsmanship, and dedication, and further inspire employees to contribute to the Group’s high-quality development, the Group’s Trade Union decided to award 30 individuals, including Shu Qingsong, the honorary title of“CNBM Labor Model”, and 50 grassroots units, includingChina United Cement Bengbu Co., Ltd., the title of“CNBM Advanced Collective”. At the meeting, six individuals—Liu Shaobing, Sun Yuancheng, Li Wei, Chen Qiufei, Zhao Xiaomei, and Guo Qingyi—who were awarded the“National Labor Model”title, were recognized. Medals, certificates, and plaques were presented to representatives of the Group’s Labor Models and Advanced Collectives.

Zhou Yuxian pointed out that this year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the All China Federation of Trade Unions. The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council held a conference to commend a group of national labor models and advanced workers. General Secretary Xi Jinping attended the conference and delivered an important speech. We must deeply study and implement the important speeches of General Secretary Xi Jinping on the work of the working class and trade unions, as well as on the spirit of model workers, labor spirit, and craftsmanship. We must closely rely on the working class and the broad masses of laboring people to further motivate the cadres and workers of the group to love their posts, be dedicated, innovate, take on responsibilities, and selflessly contribute, and make greater contributions to the high-quality development of the group.

Ahead ofInternational Workers’ Day(“May Day”), Zhou Yuxian, on behalf of the Group’s Party Committee, extended warm congratulations to the National Labor Models, Group Labor Models, and Advanced Collectives, and conveyed sincere holiday greetings to all employees and their families working across the Group’s sectors. He emphasized that the commended individuals and collectives should continue upholding exemplary conduct, maintain their leading roles, and set benchmarks for employees to strive for excellence in advancing the Group’s high-quality development. He urged all employees to learn from the models, align with advanced standards, and contribute more to building a world-class material industry investment group.

Zhou Yuxian underscored the need to advanceChinese-style modernizationwith comprehensive mobilization and deployment. As the Group is at a critical stage of reform and development, trade unions at all levels must mobilize employees to achieve new breakthroughs in high-quality development through practical actions. He outlined five priorities: 1.promote the spirit of labor models, craftsmanship, and dedication to fuel enterprise growth.2.build a high-quality workforce to fulfill the central SOE’s mission.3.deepen reforms in industrial worker development unleashinnovation.4. strengthen trade union foundations to enhance value creation.5. protect workers’ rights and interests to improve employee well-being.

At the exemplary deeds sharing session, six representatives—Zhao Xiaomei, Sun Yuancheng, Gao Meng, Lin Dong, Wu Shengcai, and Yang Qingsong—shared their stories. Through humble narratives and inspiring experiences, they embodied the essence of labor spirit, craftsmanship, and innovation, showcasing the dedication and excellence of the models and collectives. Attendees expressed deep admiration and pledged to learn from the honorees, striving for excellence in the Group’s reforms and its mission to become a world-class enterprise.

Prior to the meeting, Zhou Yuxian, Zhang Jie, and Liu Lei engaged in discussions with National Labor Models and Group representatives who attended theCentennial Celebration of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and the National Labor Model and Advanced Worker Commendation Meeting. The delegation also visited the Group’s exhibition hall.

The main venue hosted 105 attendees, including Party Committee leaders, trade union chairs, heads of Party-Mass Work Departments from secondary enterprises in Beijing, and employee representatives from the Guohai office. Over 3,200 participants from member enterprises, including Party Committee secretaries, trade union chairs, and employee representatives, joined via 738 branch venue.
