Project NewsOn March 8, 2026, the 7.5MW waste heat power generation unit of the Hekimhan siderite mine in Turkey, contracted and implemented by Shanghai Triumph Energy Conservation Engineering Co., Ltd. (STEC), was successfully connected to the grid for power generation.
The project was uniformly coordinated and directed by STEC, with a dedicated project team acting as the core to drive progress, ensuring highly efficient overall management from preliminary planning and construction organization to installation and commissioning. Facing various challenges, all project personnel rose to the occasion, optimizing construction plans, strengthening on-site management, and reasonably allocating resources. With a high sense of responsibility and professional competence, they completed all construction tasks on schedule with guaranteed quality, successfully achieving the goal of grid-connected power generation. This demonstrated the solid overseas engineering execution capabilities and the unwavering spirit of the Triumph team in overcoming difficulties.
The Hekimhan Siderite Mine company is affiliated with Turkey’s Kologlu Group, a highly influential and large-scale comprehensive enterprise group in the country. Its business covers multiple sectors, including construction, energy, mining, tourism, port operations, shipbuilding, and industrial production. The successful commissioning of this project effectively converts the waste heat from mine production into clean electricity, significantly improving energy utilization efficiency and saving operational costs. It can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 37,000 tons annually, creating excellent economic and ecological benefits for the owner.
The successful implementation of this project has opened up a brand-new market for STEC in the field of overseas mine waste heat utilization, further expanding its business footprint. At the same time, it has consolidated STEC’s leading position in the Turkish energy and power generation market, injected new momentum into deepening Sino-Turkish economic and trade cooperation, and promoted the green energy development of the "Belt and Road" Initiative.
