DONDO 16MW Self-Provided Power Plant in Mozambique Successfully Connected to Grid

Date:2026-09-30

At 20:38 on September 28, 2026, the DONDO 16MW self-provided power plant project in Mozambique, undertaken by Shanghai Triumph Energy Conservation Engineering Co., Ltd., was successfully connected to the grid.

With all operating parameters in the central control room meeting standards, the 16MW circulating fluidized bed boiler generator unit was successfully synchronized on its first attempt and connected to the regional grid. The project can automatically switch to isolated grid operation, delivering clean and stable electricity and providing solid support for the cement plant’s stable operation.

Since construction began, the project team has worked together to overcome difficulties, strictly following power construction standards and coordinating safety, engineering design, equipment installation, and system commissioning. For key systems such as the boiler combustion system and steam-water circulation, the technical team repeatedly optimized commissioning plans, refined operating procedures, and strictly controlled construction quality and commissioning precision, completing all preparatory work including single-unit trial operation, subsystem commissioning, and full-set startup trial operation, ensuring zero-defect and one-time successful grid connection.

This is Shanghai Triumph Energy Conservation Engineering’s sixth power plant project successfully implemented in Africa and another important achievement in the Mozambican market. The project’s successful implementation further consolidates the company’s brand influence and industry position in the African market, fully demonstrating its full-process contract execution capability and technical strength in overseas engineering. The company will continue to uphold a craftsmanship spirit of excellence, enhance its international competitiveness through quality projects, and contribute to the group’s internationalization strategy.
